Here is a guide with CV tips. It will help you to prepare a world-class software engineer CV.
The purpose of a CV is to get you an interview. So It should be easy to understand:
∘ What kind of specialist you are. E.g. java web developer, front-end developer, UX designer, embedded C developer, data scientist, etc.
∘ How many years of professional experience do you have and in what domains. E.g. 5 years working in Healthcare.
∘ What languages, tools, and processes do you know, and what you have been working with recently.
∘ 3 years of experience or less — 1 page
∘ 3–6 years of experience — 1–2 pages
∘ 6 years or more — 2–3 pages
This is just a rule of thumb and can deviate, but try to keep it short. Nobody wants to read a 5 page CV.
∘ Begin with the most important and the most relevant information. List your work experience in reverse chronological order.
∘ Be consistent both syntactically and semantically. Avoid bad grammar and typos. Use the same spacing, text alignment, and text fonts. Use the same tense in sentences. We strongly suggest that you send your CV to your friend or colleague for review.
∘ Don’t write entire HTTP links. Add a hyperlink to the relevant text.
∘ All information should be in English. Make sure there is no Russian text left.
∘ Always write your name and contact details
∘ DO NOT PUT your photo, age, or marital status. You don’t need to specify languages either. We expect you to speak English if you apply, and Russian/Ukrainian is not relevant. Although you can mention it if you speak Swedish.
∘ DO NOT ESTIMATE YOUR SOFT SKILLS. For example, don’t put “80% Communication skills” or “4 of 5 Dedicated worker” etc. Let the interviewer decide on this.
∘ If you decide to add some intro about yourself, make it short. 3–5 sentences will be enough. Your hobbies are not that relevant at this stage of the hiring process.
∘ Try to be more specific and focus on your achievements instead of general information about what you have been doing.
NOT GOOD: was implementing backend services.
GOOD: implemented backend authentication and authorization services using OAuth 2.0 with Spring Boot in the context of microservices architecture.

∘ Add links to your open source projects or Behance profile if you have any.
∘ Mention relevant certificates or patents you have.
